Before I became a mom, I had this idealistic notion that babies were born with an innate ability to sleep. Well, turns out, that's not exactly a universal truth. My first baby brought me face to face with the real struggle of getting a little one to sleep, and let me tell you, it was no cakewalk.
I was on a mission, reading every parenting book and blog out there, hoping for that magic solution. But, reality hit hard when I found myself drowning in a sea of conflicting advice. It all sounded great in theory, but applying those well-intentioned tips to my squirming, giggling bundle of joy was a whole different ball game.
When my son finally started falling asleep independently and staying asleep for the night, it was a game-changer and not just for him! It transformed my life too. Suddenly, I wasn't just surviving, I was thriving. I rediscovered the joy of being well-rested and, in turn, a much happier mom. That 'aha' moment fueled a fire in me – a passion to help other families experience the joy of uninterrupted sleep.
Before I dove into the sleep world, I spent over a decade as a special education teacher. Working with neurodiverse kids was my jam, and it still is. If your little one falls into that category and bedtime feels like a battlefield, I've got the expertise and the empathy to guide you through it.
Let's make bedtime a bit less stressful and a lot more restful, one night at a time. Sound good?
